The recent celebration of Cohiba’s 55th anniversary featured the new Cohiba 55th Anniversary Limited Edition, marking another milestone in the grand history of the Cohiba brand – the iconic Habanos flagship.

The international event was held simultaneously in seven countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Japan.

Only 55 people were privileged to attend each of the on-site event and enjoyed a Cohiba 55th Anniversary Limited Edition.

On arrival, guests were welcomed with a Cohiba Siglo 1 cigar. The event’s programme kicked off with a speech by Regional Marketing Director Norio Hattori via zoom.

Then the Cohiba 55th Anniversary Limited Edition cigar was handed out to guests while canapes were served and the three-piece band Nina & Friends entertained with a repertoire that included Spanish songs.

Guests also enjoyed a mini-buffet and a free-flow of Cuba Libra cocktail as well as premium coffee, while whisky lovers savoured Balblair 12 and 15.

Another star of the event was the Zenith Cohiba 55th Anniversary watch, which is a limited edition of only 55 pieces worldwide.

VIPs gracing the event included the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia Florentino Batista and his wife Saimi Reyes, as well as Country Manager of Pacific Cigar Company (PCC) Serena Ong.

Each Cohiba 55th Anniversary Limited Edition cigar, exceptionally rolled with the finest tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, is finished with the classic characteristic of the Cohiba line – the pigtail.

Presented in boxes of 10 cigars, it boasts of specially selected tobacco and additional aging fitting for this Limited Edition release.

With a 150 mm x 57 ring gauge and the “Victoria” vitola, which is seen within Cohiba for the very first time, the cigar is set to captivate the palette of aficionados.

The price of a box of the Cohiba 55th Anniversary Limited Edition is yet to be confirmed but is estimated to be RM18,000 and above. It is only available for pre-order and will only be arriving in November 2022.
